Happy Sad Mi is a team of IT professionals based in the Philippines, providing web development, software development, data analytics, technical support and virtual assistance. This notice explains what happens to information you share with us through this website.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the details you enter:
- Your name
- Your email address
- An optional subject line
- Your message, including any project details you choose to share
Please do not send confidential information, passwords, payment details or government IDs through this form.
Information collected automatically
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records information such as the pages you visit, the approximate region you are connecting from, your browser type and device, and referring pages. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
If you use the chat assistant
The chat assistant on this site is provided by Cloudflare. If you send it a message, the text of that message and the preceding turns of that conversation are transmitted to Cloudflare's infrastructure so it can be answered.
We do not store chat messages. Your conversation is kept only in your own browser while the page is open, is never written to our records, and is cleared when you close or reload the page.
To reduce what is transmitted, messages that appear to contain an email address, a mobile number, or a request for the assistant to record something are answered with a canned response without ever being sent to the AI model.
The assistant cannot quote prices, schedules or deliverables, and it will ask you to use the contact form instead. It is not able to make commitments on our behalf. If you would rather not use it, the contact form reaches the same inbox.
We do not ask for and do not want special category or sensitive personal information through this website.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project.
- To keep a record of conversations about work we have quoted or are performing.
- To understand which parts of the website are useful so we can improve it — only when you have accepted analytics.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Third parties
We use a small number of external services. None of them can see your contact form details unless you submit it:

6. How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting project, and are then deleted. Google Analytics stores data in aggregated form for up to 14 months.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines, you have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal information, to access it, to have it corrected, to have it erased or blocked, and to object to its processing.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, the same rights apply to you under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Because contact details are delivered to an inbox, there may be a short delay while we locate and action a request. If you used the chat assistant, your messages were never stored in the first place, so there is nothing to retrieve from.
